Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s verbal assaults on the national security and Afghanistan policies of the Obama administration are welcome!
Obama and his administration have been dismantling national security and defense policies which had been effectively put in place by the former Bush administration. Obama’s delay in deciding on General McChrystal’s request for more troops for Afghanistan is a sign of indecision and wavering consensus,and ultimately weakness by Obama. Cheney is providing voice to the current debate. His counterpoints to Obama’s wavering policies provide useful benchmarks in the debate on these issues.
Cheney clearly articulates a stronger,clearer and more vigorous set of policies for America. His vision is far stronger,better focused and more decisive than that of Obama and his administration. While the leftists in America harbor enormous disdain for Cheney, Cheney is clearly far ahead of President Obama and his administration in making a lasting and stronger impression in favor of the national security interests of America.
