Preface

This book addresses how to survive in a corporation. It distills  40 years of experience in corporations in the aerospace, petroleum, scientific research, nuclear energy and global engineering and construction management industries. Corporations are unique legal creatures with  their own structures, cultures and resources depending on the purposes for which the corporation is in operation. Surviving in the corporation requires certain political as well as technical skills. The lessons learned never end .Because of the vicissitudes of corporate existence survival skills are absolute requirements.As I navigated the corporate existence I found myself confronted by many situations and difficult challenges and learned many lessons along the way. The purpose of this book is to digest as many of those lessons as possible each one hopefully providing the reader with a survival strategy with respect to his or her corporate navigation and success.
